Grapes: barbera
Harvest: 2nd decade of September
Vinification: maceration with the skins for 10 days at 28 ° C
Aging: in 25hl barrels for 2 months and in steel for 10 months
Bottling: 12 months after the harvest Storage: bottle laid down, away from light and sudden changes in temperature
Average life: 4-8 years
Smell: broad, clean and fruity with hints of currant and plum
Color: intense ruby red with purple veins
Taste: warm, lively, good balance between acidity and extract, great persistence
Food pairing: white meats, long pasta (tagliatelle) and stuffed pasta (agnolotti)

Production area
These wines are all produced in Monforte d’Alba, an area famous for the production of wines with structure and elegance. The limestone soils give us wines of great longevity, with bottles that can be kept for many years.
